Charles is a proven institutional investor and business leader.

He has spent over 30 years in leadership positions serving endowments, foundations and both public and private pension funds on a global basis.

He founded and led private equity / venture capital firm, Performance Equity Management, as CEO and CIO.  Over a decade he grew assets to $14 Billion.

Prior to that he was a managing director of several major institutional funds including the Stanford University Endowment and the GM Pension.. 

Charles is an alum of Stanford University (Distinguished Careers Institute),  Stanford GSB (MBA), UC Berkeley (PhD) and University of Washington (BA).
